In pediatric populations persistent serous otitis media causes approximately 28 dB hearing loss and places children at risk for developing speech, language, and developmental delays. Dr. Jeffery LaCour, ENT
Founder of Compassio Medical Education
Dr. Jeffrey LaCour is an experienced ENT with a passion for hearing health and ear diagnostics. He recognized that ears posed the most common ENT challenges in emergency, urgent, pediatric, and primary care settings. This led to the development of a tympanometry course to increase providers’ accuracy and confidence when providing ear care. The tympanometer provides objective data about the middle ear or tympanic membrane when there is uncertainty of a diagnosis.
He has developed online courses taught by physician specialists for emergency, urgent, and primary care physicians, physician associates, nurse practitioners, and students. His goal is to bridge the gap between specialty and primary care by sharing knowledge and building collegial relationships.

Courses
TYMPANOMETRY
This course discusses the crucial role of tympanometry for common otologic complaints (otalgia, tinnitus, ear pressure, vertigo) as well as diagnosing the presence or absence of middle ear fluid, purulence, and tympanic membrane perforations. Your antibiotic use will drop significantly!
This course includes:

ENT PEARLS AND MASTERY OF THE EAR
The ENT pearls helps with appropriate diagnosis and treatments for general ENT conditions with special emphasis on one of the most common patient visits, the ear! This course will make a huge difference in improved diagnosis and care of patients in primary and urgent care settings. This course includes:
• 5.5 ACCME hours or 5.5 AANP hours
